If you have an interest to learn or simply desire to renew your interest, Lilies and Lace offers a number of classes and projects designed to inspire you. For your convenience, many are scheduled both morning and evening. We purposely keep the classes small in order to give you the attention you deserve so please remember spaces are limited. A 50% deposit is required and is non-refundable if you do not cancel 48 hours prior to the class. This will help us ensure all those wanting to take a class have the opportunity. We hope you understand as we want to be respectful of everyone’s time. We love and encourage your suggestions, so do let us know if you have an interest that may not be listed. Basic Sewing Class I This class requires no sewing machine and is excellent for the novice. You will learn about fabrics, sewing on buttons, laying out a pattern, hemming using a blind stitch and many other tips and techniques. This is a good foundation class before beginning machine sewing. Morning and evening classes offered. Cost is $25. Evening: 6.00 pm - 9.00 pm |

Basic Sewing Class II Bring your sewing machine and put to practice what you learned in Basic Sewing I. To help you learn fundamental stitches and applications, you will make a pillow case. Basic Sewing Class III An excellent class that teaches garment construction. For a boy, you can choose either shorts or shortall and for a girl, a sundress or jumper. Then, choose your fabric and put to practice all that you have learned. If you do not have a sewing machine, just let me know. I am happy to arrange one for you. This class is offered in the evening. Children's Sewing The opportunity for your child or grandchildren to learn the basics of sewing. We will be learning cutting techniques, proper use of the sewing machine and perfecting some of our handsewing techniques among other important knowledge for sewing. The class is broken into four sessions and includes lunch. All materials are included for the projects we will be sewing. Cost is $100. Day: 10.00 am - 3.00 pm |

Hand Embroidery Learn the art of fine hand embroidery in this beginner level class. The basics of shadow embroidery, bullions, French knots and much more will be covered. Mary Claire Dress A two day class constructing a very sweet gored dress with lace insertions. Although it may sound complicated, it is actually quite simple. You will need to come in prior to the class to purchase your fabric and laces. Machine required. Cost is $60. Morning • 9.00 am - 1.00 pm |

Picture Smocking Learn to stack cables to create “pictures” in your smocking. Two pleated inserts and a smocking plate is included in the class fee. Cost is $50. Morning • 9.00 am - 11.00 am |

School Blouse While every little girl needs a white uniform blouse, it does not have to be plain. Learn how to make a cute blouse that is far from basic. Bring your machine and spend the day sewing. Lunch and kit is included in class fee. Cost is $50. Morning • 9.00 am - 3.00 pm |

Smocking Learn the basics of geometric English smocking. This class is for the beginner or someone who simply wishes to refresh their smocking skills. Three 2 hour sessions make up a class and includes a project dress which you will select during the second session.The class fee does not include your materials or pleating of fabric.
